Yes … there’s breakfast. And then, there’s brunch! When you have a little more morning time to “play” in the kitchen, this is the menu for you! New York Style Apple Streusel Coffee Cake, Vanilla Bean French Toast with Caramelized Pineapple-Lychee Butter and Coconut Whipped Cream with Brown Sugar Glazed Bacon, and Smoky Ham and Cheddar Breakfast Strata with Herbed Fresh Tomatoes, and a Southwestern “Queso Fundido” with Corn Tortilla Chips and Chili Roasted Potatoes. All this and the Sunday newspaper make for the perfect day!

Salmon … one of the all-time great fish! Delicate enough for the simple freshness of citrus and herbs, yet hearty enough for the searing heat of the grill with a slathering of sauce! Since we are coming into what looks to be a very promising salmon “season” it’s time to get our salmon on! Many of you have shared with me your fears of cooking seafood – fear not! Our menu of grilling, roasting, smoking and pan-frying will make you a delicious and fearless expert! Salmon Gravlax with Dill Crème Fraiche (a little nosh!), Southern-Inspired Smoked Salmon Cheeseball with Fresh Herbs and Pumpernickel Crostini, Roasted Brown Sugar – Bourbon Glazed Salmon with Skillet Corn Bread, Pan-Seared Salmon with a Ginger – Soy Vinaigrette over Crisp Asian Slaw, and a Salmon Burger with a Creamy Citrus and Herb Sauce on a Brioche Bun.

What’s better than burgers and fries? We’re celebrating National Hamburger Month with some new twists on an old classic! It’s a veritable burger bonanza with a menu that includes a Sausage and Pepper Burger with Smoked Mozzarella and Fresh Basil Pesto, a Bleu Cheese and Applewood Smoked Bacon Stuffed Sliders, and Roasted Garlic and Sun-Dried Tomato Lamb Burger with Feta and Creamy Tzatziki Sauce. Classic Shoestring Fries and Roasted Sweet Potato Fries with Dipping Sauces round out our burger adventure. Grilling season is upon us! Oh … by the way, Double Chocolate Shakes, anyone?

We’ll prepare an assortment of foundational vinaigrettes, pestos, creamy, fresh dressings, and zesty, versatile marinades that are sure to inspire. Our menu will include a Trio of Garden Fresh Pestos over Crisp Baguette Toast Rounds, a Modern Shrimp Cocktail with a Classic Green Sauce, Brazilian Citrus-Marinated Pork Tenderloin with a Creamy Serrano Salsa, and Roasted Rosemary Asparagus with a Preserved Lemon Vinaigrette. Cool and refreshing vinaigrettes, dressings and marinades tailor-made for our steamy Southern summers!

Revisit Waitress with Dinner and a Movie, Susan Green & Melanie Thorn

A “Top 10” food movie and a personal favorite! Jenna (Keri Russell) plays a small-town waitress trapped in a miserable marriage all the while baking the most extraordinary pies inspired by the trials and tribulations of her daily life. Don’t worry, there’s a happy ending! Here’s how it works! We will prepare and demonstrate some of Jenna’s sweet and savory pies while watching the movie and then have our own Waitress pie feast. Our menu will include Jenna’s “I Don’t Want Earl’s Baby Pie” (Quiche with Egg and Brie Cheese with a Smoked Ham Center),”Spanish Dancer Pie with a Potato Crust,” “Falling in Love Chocolate Mousse Pie,” and “Peachy Keen Tarts.”
